Scope

This standard specifies the general performance and test methods of process analytical instrument sample handling systems. This standard applies to sample processing systems used in conjunction with process analytical instruments, including other facilities used to maintain the performance of the sample processing system and the performance of the process analytical instruments. This standard does not apply to solid sample processing systems and components with sample processing functions within process analytical instruments. This standard does not involve descriptions of electrical, explosion, toxicity and other safety aspects. Relevant electrical, explosion, toxicity and other requirements should comply with relevant standards.
