- This standard specifies the test device for the fixed abrasive abrasive wear test (pin-sandpaper disc sliding wear method), sandpaper (cloth), specimens, test conditions, test procedures and methods for processing and expressing test results. This standard is applicable to the measurement of wear during sliding friction between materials and sandpaper (cloth) surfaces under laboratory conditions, and provides data reflecting the wear characteristics of the tested material when it slides relative to the abrasive grains. The test results can be used to predict the relative order of wear resistance of the tested materials under corresponding actual working conditions.
