The cleanliness of gear transmission is a product quality assessment index that uses a prescribed method to collect impurities from the inner cavity of the gear box and measure them by their weight. This standard specifies the measurement method and objective evaluation value of the cleanliness of gear transmission devices with separate boxes for power transmission. It is applicable to the acceptance of products after leaving the factory and overhauling. This standard does not apply to gear transmissions lubricated with grease and centralized circulating oil. This standard allows acceptance of gear transmissions based on cleanliness conditions determined by agreement or order contract between manufacturer and user.
