This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging and marking of pneumatic porcelain sleeves. This standard is applicable to porcelain sleeves for electrical equipment such as circuit breakers with a rated voltage higher than 1000V and a ambient air temperature of -40 to +40°C, and the permanent air pressure in the inner cavity is greater than the normal atmospheric pressure. The gas in the inner cavity of the ceramic sleeve can be dry air, inert gas, such as sulfur hexafluoride (SF|(6)), nitrogen (N|(2)), or a mixture thereof. Porcelain sleeves are insulating components of power equipment. The external insulation electrical performance of power equipment is not a characteristic of the porcelain sleeve itself, so it is not specified in this standard. This standard does not apply to porcelain sleeves used under conditions sufficient to degrade the performance of the porcelain sleeve.
