- This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of pressure-type temperature controllers for household and similar purposes (referred to as thermostats). This standard applies to thermostats with capillary tubes for temperature control and similar purposes such as AC rated voltage not greater than 440V, rated current not greater than 32A, rated frequency 50Hz and 60Hz and DC 40V or less, 10A or less refrigeration appliances and heating appliances.
