- This standard specifies the method for type A pulse reflection ultrasonic flaw detection and defect classification. This standard applies to steel castings for steam turbines in power stations with a capacity greater than or equal to 12MW. When this standard is adopted, ultrasonic flaw detection drawings of steel castings must be provided, and the parts required for flaw detection and the corresponding quality level should be indicated on the drawing.
