- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product models, basic requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of waist wheel flow meters (hereinafter referred to as flow meters). This standard applies to waist wheel flowmeters or transmitters that measure liquid flow for cumulative flow display (or) instantaneous flow display. This standard does not apply to rotary flowmeters or transmitters that measure gas flow.
