Scope
This standard specifies certain characteristics of 97% citral to facilitate the evaluation of its quality. Citral is isolated from Litsea cubeba oil. Citral is mainly used to prepare food flavors and toothpaste flavors. It also has applications in medicine. This standard refers to the American Essential Oil Association standard EOA No. 15-1977 "Pure Citral".
