- This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage of paper and cardboard thickness measuring instruments. This standard applies to thickness measuring instruments (hereinafter referred to as "thickness meters") that use contact measurement methods to measure the thickness of sheet materials such as paper, cardboard, and corrugated cardboard. The periodic technical status inspection of the thickness gauge during use should also be referred to.
