- This standard stipulates the basic rules for wood selection, stacking, production and application of moisture content inspection boards, and drying process management in kiln drying operations of sawn timber, as well as the kiln drying standards for major domestic timber. This standard applies to kiln drying of sawn lumber using moist air or furnace gas-humid air or conventional superheated steam as the drying medium.
