- This standard specifies the basic method for measuring the thickness of machine-made carpets. This method is an integral part of other test methods for carpets. The results of this test alone are not sufficient to indicate the quality of the product. This standard applies to all carpets with the same thickness and structure. Parts with different thicknesses and structures should be tested separately.
