- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules for the food additive terpineol. This standard applies to pine oil synthesized from pinene through hydration and dehydration reactions. Terpineol contains various isomers, among which the main one is methyl-terpineol, and the rest are alcohols such as eth-terpineol and g-terpineol. The food additive terpineol is mainly used to prepare food flavors.
