- This standard specifies the general quality requirements for hot-dip galvanized coatings of insulator accessories and their corresponding test methods. Special quality requirements for the zinc layer and special zinc layer test methods are not included in this standard. This standard applies to the hot-dip galvanized layer of metal accessories of insulators made of steel and cast iron materials. This standard covers zinc coatings on accessories before and after assembly.
