Scope

This standard specifies the high performance liquid chromatography method for the determination of phenylglyoxylic acid and phenylglycolic acid in urine. The minimum detection concentration of this method is 1 mg/L for phenylglyoxylic acid and 10 mg/L for phenylglycolic acid. This standard is applicable to the determination of phenylglyoxylic acid and phenylglycolic acid in the urine of workers exposed to styrene or ethylbenzene.
