Scope

This standard specifies the main mechanical performance requirements and test methods of intraocular lenses. This standard applies to all kinds of intraocular lenses for anterior heel implantation (but not for corneal implants) and can also be used in the design stage. Note: For some designs and applications, the special test methods described in this standard are not applicable. In this case, the intraocular lens manufacturer must provide the corresponding test method and prove its effectiveness and rationality.
