- Scope
- This standard applies to the functional requirements and design principles of mechanical emergency stop devices, and is not limited by the form of energy used to control the function. Except for the following situations, the provisions of this standard apply to all machinery: (1) Machinery for which emergency stop settings cannot reduce the risk. (2) Hand-held portable machinery and hand-guided machinery. This standard does not specify the reversal (reversal) or limitation (limit) of motion.
