- This standard is applicable to the anti-rust oily red lead primer for steel ships above the waterline (hereinafter referred to as the oily ship red lead primer for steel ships). Note: The oil-based ship red lead primer for steel ships is a liquid made of oil-based Vanillin water developer to fully disperse red lead and other anti-rust pigments. It is designed to prevent rust on the parts above the waterline of steel ships.
