- This standard specifies the oven method for measuring the moisture content of pulp and paper, but it is not applicable to papers containing volatile or easily meltable substances that can cause paper changes at 105±2°C. Note: When the moisture in some fiber raw materials cannot be effectively and completely driven out, resulting in disputes over the test results, CNS 3086-1 [Method for determination of moisture in wood, pulp and paper (Toluene Distillation Method)] shall prevail.
