Scope

This standard is used to determine the change in compressive strength of Portland cement mass. This change is caused by replacing part of the cement with calcium sulfate and thereby increasing the SO3 content. Normally, but not always, it can produce the highest 24-hour intensity of SO3 content, and can roughly minimize expansion in water and contraction in air.
