Scope

This standard specifies the method for determination of mercaptan content (0.001 to 0.01%) in aviation fuel. Organic sulfides, such as sulfide disulfide and thiothiophene, have no interference, and there is no interference when the elemental sulfur content is less than 0.0005%.
