- This standard specifies the aniline point test method for petroleum products and hydrocarbon solvents, and includes the following items. 1.1 Method A is suitable for aniline-sample mixtures whose initial boiling point is higher than room temperature, the aniline point is lower than the bubble point and higher than the freezing point of the transparent sample. 1.2 Method B is a thin film method and is not applicable to the dark-colored samples of Method A. 1.3 Methods C and D are suitable for samples that may evaporate at the aniline point. Law D is particularly applicable
