- Scope
- 1.1 This standard specifies the use of a manual or automatic Pan-Martens closed cup flash point tester to determine the flash point (1) of petroleum products. The temperature range of the determination is 40-360°C. Note: This flash point test method is a dynamic test method, and the precision of this method is controlled by a set heating rate. Since some materials have low thermal conductivity, it cannot be expected that all tests can maintain the heating rate.
