- Scope
- This standard is applicable to the test method for determining the carboxyl content in pulp after bleaching and removing lignin. Since lignin and its cracking products, especially the sulfonic acid groups in unbleached sulfite pulp, interfere with the quantification of carboxyl groups, the pestle method is not suitable for unbleached and semi-bleached pulps.
