- This standard applies to zinc sulfide pigments for coatings. This product can be divided into the following five categories: 1.1 Zinc sulfide. 1.2 Hardened zinc-barium pigment: composed of approximately 50% zinc sulfide and 50% barium sulfate (Table 1). 1.3 Zinc sulfide-magnesium pigment: composed of about 50% zinc sulfide and 50% magnesium silicate or mixed with mica silicate. 1.4 Zinc-barium white pigment: composed of about 30% zinc sulfide and 70% barium sulfate. 1.5 Titanium Zinc Whitening
