Scope

This standard applies to paint and varnish materials and establishes a quantitative method for determining the hardness of a paint and varnish coating using a TML-type pendulum device. This standard establishes a method for determining hardness by reducing the number of pendulum oscillations on single-layer coatings or multi-layer coatings obtained on the basis of various paint systems.
