Scope

This standard specifies the following two testing methods, which are suitable for determining the content of inorganic fluoride (expressed as fluoride ion concentration mg F-∕mn3) in exhaust gases produced by chemical reactions and emitted through exhaust pipes. {(a) Volumetric method (thorium nitrate leak determination method) (b) Absorbance photometry (lanthanum aldera mixture method)}.
