Scope

This standard specifies the testing method for manganese content in pulp and paper. This standard includes two methods for determining the manganese content in pulp and paper—sodium periodate colorimetry and atomic absorption spectrometry. Both methods are suitable for a variety of pulps and papers and give similar results.
