- This standard specifies the analysis methods for the following two types of ash in coal and coke. (1) Category 1 ash: Ash content of air-dried samples of coal and coke ashed according to the conditions of CNS 10822 Ash Content Quantitative Method for Coal and Coke. (2) The second type of ash: ash generated by the combustion of coal and coke.
