- This standard stipulates a method for estimating the confidence interval (Note 1) of the population variation (taking a 95% probability as an example) based on measured values obtained from a population (or a representative batch). In addition, this presumption method is applicable when the two groups of sample sizes are equal. If they are not equal, the following reference method will be used. Note 1: The trust interval is determined by the upper trust limit and the lower trust limit.
