Scope

This standard specifies the testing method for moisture content in tobacco leaves. Note: The method specified in this standard is a distillation method using hydrophobic solvents, which is especially suitable for shredded tobacco leaves and unprocessed or processed tobacco leaves. For some processed tobacco leaves, high amounts of moisture will affect the measurement results.
