Scope

This standard is applicable to eddy current inspection of surface defects of metal round straight rods and rod wires, including inspection timing, inspection equipment, display evaluation, defect types, grade classification and acceptance criteria. Inspections for special purposes and shapes may be determined in accordance with other relevant standards, but shall not be lower than this standard.
