- This standard is applicable to microwave ovens that use electromagnetic waves (hereinafter referred to as microwaves) in the 2450MHz frequency band for food heating, with a rated microwave output of less than 1.5kW, and microwave ovens with internal electric heating devices or electric heating devices and steam generating devices.
