Scope

This standard specifies a test method for measuring the plastic flow resistance of a cylindrical body of asphalt pavement mixture using a Marshall instrument when bearing a load imposed on the side. It is limited to asphalt mortar, oil-soluble asphalt, or asphalt mixtures whose maximum particle size is within 25.4 mm.
