- 1.1 This standard specifies the determination of the electrical conductivity of aviation and distillate fuels containing electrostatic dissipants. This method refers to the conductivity measured when the fuel is uncharged. 1.2 There are two methods that can be used to test the conductivity of fuel on site. (a) Use a portable measuring meter to directly measure fuel samples in oil storage tanks or on-site or in laboratories. (b) In-line gauges continuously measure fuel delivery systems
