- Scope
- This standard is applicable to oblique beam ultrasonic testing of seamless steel pipes or resistance welded steel pipes. The outer diameter of the pipe is more than 15.9mm, the wall thickness of the pipe is more than 2mm, and the ratio of the pipe wall thickness to the pipe outer diameter (t∕D) is within 0.2 or less, but does not include stainless steel welded steel pipes. When used for special steel pipe inspection, it may be specified in accordance with other relevant standards, but shall not be lower than this standard.
