Scope

This standard applies to the tolerances, allowable differences and allowable wear of limit gauges used to ensure that the scale is within the upper and lower deviation limits specified in CNS 4-1 [Limits and Fits]. Furthermore, this standard may still apply to limit gauges used for the dimensions of mechanical parts other than holes and shafts.
