Scope
1.1 This guideline outlines the petrographic analysis procedures for representative samples of materials that are concrete aggregates. 1.2 This guideline outlines the scope of application of petrographic analysis, the material properties that must be selected, and the method by which this analytical technique is used to time-share concrete aggregate samples. 1.3 These Guidelines do not describe petrographic analysis techniques in detail because it is assumed that personnel who can use these Guidelines have sufficient educational training and practical experience to apply this technique.
