- This standard specifies the testing methods for fiber content and porosity of carbon fiber reinforced plastics (hereinafter referred to as CFRP). Remarks: 1. This standard stipulates a method for calculating fiber content and air porosity based on the calculation method from the density values of epoxy resin, carbon fiber and CFRP and the mass of carbon fiber in CFRP. 2. This standard stipulates that the quality test methods for carbon fibers in CFRP are combustion method, nitric acid decomposition method and sulfuric acid decomposition method.
