Scope

This standard specifies a method for measuring flash point using a Tag closed tester. The test liquid applicable to this method is one with a kinematic viscosity below 5.5 cSt at 40oC (104oF), or a kinematic viscosity below 9.5 cSt at 25oC (77oF) and a flash point below 93oC (200oF); however, when mixed with asphalt and tested Under such conditions, surface films and substances containing suspended solids may form.
