- This standard specifies the tear strength test method for plastic films and sheets. Remarks (1) This tear strength test method includes Method A, Method B and Method C. When comparing tearing of different materials or products, the same method must be used for testing. In addition, if the tear strength test method of the applicable quality standard for the product is different from this standard, the test method must be followed. (2) Specimens that will undergo brittle failure during the test or those with very large elongation
