Scope

This standard specifies the test method for determining the abrasion resistance of geotextile fabrics using an abrasion testing machine. Note: This test method uses the friction between the geotextile and the abrasion testing machine to determine its abrasion resistance. This test method is only applicable to geotextile properties, but not to geosynthetic materials such as geotextile waterproofing membranes and geogrids.
