- Scope
- This standard specifies a test method for the determination of benzene and toluene content in finished vehicle gasoline and aviation gasoline by gas chromatography. Note 1: The measurement range of benzene is 0.1 to 5% by volume, while the measurement range of toluene is 2 to 20% by volume. 2: The precision of this test method is based on the use of conventional gasoline and gasoline containing oxygenates (ethers such as methyl tert-butyl ether, ethyl tert-butyl ether and tert-pentyl methyl ether, etc.)
