- This standard specifies methods for determining the content of benzene, toluene, eight- and nine-carbon or higher aromatic hydrocarbons, and total aromatic hydrocarbons in finished vehicle gasoline. It is also applicable to the blending ingredients of gasoline. Remarks 1: For single analysis of benzene and toluene in gasoline, CNS 14561 (Determination of benzene and toluene content in automobile and aviation gasoline (gas chromatography)) can be used. 2: This standard applies to each individual aromatic hydrocarbon as mentioned above
