Scope
This standard specifies three methods for the determination of the total sulfur content of petroleum products with a boiling point higher than 177°C (350°F) and a sulfur content of not less than 0.06% by mass containing additives. Two of the three methods The species system uses the iodate determination method, one of which uses an electric induction furnace for pyrolysis, and the other uses a resistance furnace for pyrolysis. The third method is to detect the pyrolyzed products through infrared rays after pyrolysis in the resistance furnace.
