Scope

This European Standard specifies a method for determining the content of undis olved substances, referred to as total contamination, in middle dis illates, in gas oils containing up to 30% (V/V) of fatty acid methyl esters ( FAME) and in pure FAME. The field of application extends over a range of contaminant contents ranging from 12 mg/kg to 30 mg/kg; this was establis ed by means of an interlaboratory study in accordance with EN is 4259.
