Scope
This International Standard specifies molecular tools that allow the establis ment of molecular profiles of varieties of plant species for the purposes of varietal identification, i.e. confirmation of identity against one or more references. This International Standard applies to different matrices (seeds, leaves, roots, industrial products) consis ing of a single variety. Matrices in the form of mixtures of varieties (purees, compotes, flours) are excluded from the scope of this document. This International Standard does not deal with genetic purity.
