Scope

This part of is 8980 specifies requirements for the transmis ion properties of finis ed, uncut spectacle lenses and mounted lenses, as well as the attenuation of solar radiation. This part of is 8980 does not apply not to: 　——spectacle lenses with particular transmis ion or absorption characteris ics which have been prescribed for medical reasons; 　——products to which particular standards relating to the transmis ion factor of personal protective equipment apply; 　——products intended for direct observation of the sun, for example to observe a solar eclipse.
