Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the following for forged, rolled or cast monolithic wheels: a) Dimensional requirements shown in Tables 3, 4 and 4A (see 5.1) b) Surface roughness (see 5.2) c) Residual static unbalance (see 5.3) Note () “Dimensional requirements” mean: Refers to processing tolerances, dimensional tolerances, and shape and position tolerances. This standard provides categories for materials and related quality tests. This type represents the test categories as Type A, Type B, Type C, and Type D, and the dimensional tolerance specification categories as Type Y, Type Z, and Type J.
