This part specifies the method principle, reagents, instruments and devices, sample preparation, analysis steps, result calculation and tolerance for the determination of trace amounts of palladium and rhodium in platinum alloys by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES). This section applies to the determination of trace amounts of palladium and rhodium in pt90Ir and pt75Ir alloys. The scope of formulation is shown in Table 1
