Scope

This standard specifies an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method for the detection of chloramphenicol residues in foods of animal origin. This standard is applicable to the screening and testing of chloramphenicol residues in animal-derived foods (pig, chicken muscle and liver, fish, shrimp, casings, milk and egg samples).
